Boluarte means mystery and this really is a mystery dive. To the right of the Chapel sandy area, a small coral ridge leads you out to a horseshoe shaped plateau that in turn slopes from 12meters to 40+meters. Boluarte takes its name from the huge solitary rock jutting out into the sea from Apo’s west side.

Plate and mushroom corals adorn the plateau, branching corals compete for space on the shallower part of the plateau. In the deeper parts Squarespot Anthias and Harlequin Hinds swim around beautiful gorgonian fans adorning the top of the walls.

Typical fish in the shallower area are surgeons, Bluefin Trevallies, Scribbled, Onespot and Red snappers , Yellowmargin triggerfishand Goggle-eyes.
